About
Welcome to R J's Bar and Grill, a hidden gem nestled at 1475 N Tamiami Trl, North Fort Myers, FL 33903. This lively local bar has captured the hearts of many, offering a welcoming environment where everyone knows your name. Known for its vibrant atmosphere and engaging entertainment, R J's is more than just a bar—it's a community hub.
One of the standout features of R J's is its beloved karaoke nights held every Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. As Tatiana Hanley fondly recalls, it's a place where good friends gather to sing their hearts out, all thanks to the fantastic bartenders and the spirited karaoke operator who adds a unique touch to the experience. The friendly crowd of regulars creates an inviting ambiance, truly making it a home away from home.
The menu is a treasure trove of delights, with a selection that caters to all cravings. Chris Hambacher praises the food, especially enjoying the surprise of discovering breakfast offerings. For those seeking a hearty meal, the cheeseburgers have been highlighted by numerous patrons as a must-try, with reviews claiming they surpass even well-known competitors. Larson Productions enthuses that they are "100 times better than Ford's Garage," juicy and bursting with flavor, complemented perfectly by crispy fries or tots.
The atmosphere evokes the charm of a smoky dive bar with a neighborhood flair. Zachary Tatoczenko describes it as an ideal spot to unwind, drink beer, and enjoy live music on the weekends. With pool tables and friendly faces, it’s an entertaining blend of relaxation and good cheer. John W, affectionately known as Travelin.Johnny, humorously likens it to a contemporary version of Cheers, emphasizing the familiarity and community spirit that reigns here.
For those new to this charming establishment, Brooke Purcell’s experience encapsulates the dive bar essence perfectly: "a couple of pool tables, some music, a good beer and liquor selection, and down-to-earth bartenders," all of which define the R J's vibe. The dimly lit corners invite you to settle in, whether you're enjoying a Philly Cheesesteak as Jonathan Rapp did or simply soaking in the live tunes.
R J's Bar and Grill promises an enjoyable escape from the everyday hustle and bustle. With its eclectic mix of delicious food, lively karaoke, and a strong sense of community, it’s easy to see why patrons keep coming back for more. As newcomer Glynis Byrne experienced, the friendly and entertaining atmosphere makes for an unforgettable outing. Whether you're a local or just passing through, R J's beckons you to join the fun!

My boyfriend, friends and I would go every Sunday, Monday and Tuesday for karaoke nights because I love singing there thanks to the great atmosphere, fabulous bartenders, bar backs, and cooks! There are many wonderful regulars who enjoy the space as well! The karaoke operator is the sweetest, yet sassy when she needs to be type lol. Been missing havinging so much fun there since moving about 2 hours away and can't go everyweekend anymore! ”

“ Local spot with fun atmosphere. Great menu selections and awesome service. The cheeseburger is 100 times better than Fords garage. It is juicy and flavorfully comes with chips and pickles. You can upgrade to fries or tator tots. Awesome spot. ”
“ Smokey dive bar that has some live bands coming through on the weekends. Good place to shoot the shit and drink some beers! Decent pool tables as well. Also will see a lot of bikes parked out front too. ”
“ If you're looking for a bar that's like Cheers, and you want it to be fancy, this is not the place. If you're looking for a bar like Cheers, and you want everybody to know your name this is the place. It's a little Smokey local bar with regular customers on a regular basis. I tried the sliders they were delicious. I walked into the place and the eating areas were all dark, which was disconcerting. But, I stuck it out and I spoke to the server who seated me at the bar. I ordered sliders. Very good choice. They're were delicious. Allegedly, someone from Jersey makes the pizza pie after 6:00 p.m. and it's supposed to be really good. I wasn't there long enough to try. The beer prices are awesome. Plenty of parking. I also didn't stay late enough for them to set up the karaoke. I wouldn't call this a bar restaurant. It's a bar that serves some good food. Go there for the company and enjoy the food. I think it'll take a few trips before I feel like a regular. ”
